I found it fascinating that a 10% reduction in your body weight if you are overweight can increase your health. So my big long term goal of loosing 3 stone (19kgs) is actually a goal to loose 17% of my body weight. Based on this new information I've set myself a series of smaller goals to motivate and inspire me. My first goal is to loose 4kgs and my second goal will be to loose another 4 kilos as that will be pretty much 10% of my initial body weight. I'm used to working in stones around weight but I've decided to learn a new system as if I can get the hang of kilos then I've learned a new skill too! Bonus!!
I'm making my goals SMART - remember that acronym? There are a few different definitions that can be used for each letter but this is how I have used it-
Specific - loose 4kgs
Measurable - I can weigh myself
Action based - the actions I'm taking include
1. Adding body weight exercises - squats, lunges, jumping jacks - to my day in small bursts (this is more achievable for me than weights / gym / classes right now)
2. Using the awesome products on my weight loss plan
Realistic - I'm pretty certain I can loose 4kg!
Time bound - I have set a date for when I'd like to get to this weight.
I'm aware that long term success is guaranteed when you are consistent. It is the small daily habits that add up to the bigger picture. I'm ready to be a slimmer, healthier version of myself now so I'm prepared to put what time, money and effort I can right now in to achieve that.
Hopefully see you next Thursday at my launch party where you
Wishing you joy, happiness and success every day. Xxx
