The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He guides me to the meadows and the lakes where I am happy and comfortable, safe and free.
He builds up my strength and courage and leads me along paths that challenge me to grow more.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I am not afraid: for He is with me in so many ways. In the kind gestures of friends, the support from my family, the love and care of the people I love.
And while the dog and the stick may scare me at times, I know that The Shepherd uses those methods to guide me safely away from the things I do not need to face right now.
He provides food to nourish me and clothes and a warm shower to clean me. I am so grateful for all the many blessings in my life.
Surely as I am grateful for all the many blessings He provides goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Last night I dreamt this. Over and over. I was reading it. I was living it. I was discussing it. I woke up knowing I needed to write it out. Psalm 23 in my own words.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I am not afraid. I am not afraid.
